Elan Jaglom has an extensive career in holding leadership positions in high-profile companies, primarily in the 3D printing arena. He also is a private investment specialist, staunch advocate of higher education, a patron of the arts, an avid licensed pilot and a skipper.

Elan Jaglom is currently chairman of Stratasys Ltd.’s board of directors. In December 2012, the establishment of a new company for 3D printers and 3D production systems, Stratasys Ltd., was announced. The new firm is the result of a long awaited merger between two leading companies in the 3D printing field, Stratasys Inc. and Objet Ltd. The goal of this union was to form the world’s leading 3D printing and direct digital manufacturer. The company will keep its headquarters in Minnesota and in Rehovot, Israel.

Prior to this, Elan Jaglom was chairman of Objet, a three-dimensional printing company using digital technology. He joined the company, based in Israel, as one of the businesses' crucial investors.

The global printing solutions provider helps customers save time and cost when completing their projects. The company's trademark products, printed on thin film with high resolution, include more dozens of materials of several innovative brands. The international corporation has operations in Mexico, Europe, the U.S., China, and Japan. Some of the industries that the company serves are architecture, education, defense, and consumer products. The automotive, sporting supplies and dentistry fields are other sectors that come to Stratasys for its products and services.

Prior to chairing Objet, Jaglom was the Executive Director for the digital printing company Idanit Technologies Ltd and one of the company’s investors. The wide-format, high-resolution print products were created on a large-scale printer that offers four-color processing and high speed. Banners on poles, taxis and buses were the most purchased products, but the company also suited its clients' individual needs. The business merged with Scitex Corporation, which then was purchased by Hewlett Packard. It served more than 170 countries with its innovations derived by ascertaining industry needs.

Jaglom supports higher education and helps high-performing Israel Defense Force veterans receive financial aid and grants. He was also on the international board that advised the Ben-Gurion University School of Management, the first MBA program in Israel of its kind. Based on Columbia University's model, the school utilized high-profile leaders in the business world and university lectures to provide a solid business education.

As a former member of the board of governors of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Elan Jaglom’s efforts helped boost academic performance of the institution and helped improve development in the desert region that takes up 60% of Israel. The school, founded in 1968, offers courses in the humanities and science and is renowned for its research as the site of the Ben-Gurion Research Institute for the Study of Israel and ZionismElan Jaglom and his family's art collection is displayed in the Tel Aviv Museum, of which he is a trustee. The museum, home to one of the world's largest Israeli art collections, is the country's top hub for contemporary and modern art. The museum, which offers 20 exhibits a year, is frequented by 500,000 visitors annually. Jaglom was also a member of the international board member of Israel's Diaspora Museum.

Education

Elan Jaglom holds economics and statistics degrees from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He received his MBA from New York University in 1968.
